Creating a Thriving Workplace Culture

Category: Culture & Traditions

Author: Mandy Wilks, Regional Director or Human Resources

In today’s fast-paced world of healthcare, we realize the importance of creating a positive workplace culture. Here at Arrow Senior Living, we understand to achieve this culture, employees must trust their workplace.

Each August, Arrow employees participate in the Great Place to Work Survey. This is a time where staff can be open and honest about their feedback. The data is collected by a third party, so it truly is anonymous. It is so important for us to hear the good, the bad, and the ugly to know what we can work on to truly make Arrow a great place to work.

As the Regional Director of Human Resources, I focus on promoting employee appreciation, which directly enhances retention. I’m always eager to showcase what senior living truly embodies. One unique way we achieve this is through our community job fairs. Each year, we select a different theme and integrate it throughout the event, demonstrating to potential team members just how enjoyable and fulfilling senior living can be. This year, we’re taking it back to the 90s!

At Arrow, we believe when done right, making work a fun place creates a workplace culture that helps people thrive, promotes retention, and makes us a great place to work, which in turn makes us a great place to live.

Saint Charles, Missouri-based Arrow Senior Living manages a portfolio of communities that offer varying levels of care, including independent living, assisted living, and memory care. Each and every senior living community supports residents by focusing on dignity, respect, and quality of life. The programs and amenities offered are selected to provide only the highest standard of quality and comfort.
